Saturday morning we took advantage of the gorgeous weather and took the boys out to Hall Family Farm to pick some strawberries. Greyson has been a couple times before, but this was Rylan's first experience with picking. Surprisingly he turned out to be a pretty good picker. He caught on really fast that the concept was to pick the strawberries and put them in the box. The part he did not grasp was that the strawberries needed to be red! To save a lot of berries from being wasted, Rylan quickly got demoted from picker to just putting them in the box for us. Greyson on the other hand did really well despite the fact that he was bouncing off the walls with excitement. While he wasn't quite as selective with the berries he picked as mommy was, he did manage to pick ones that were at least ripe. He even managed to make it the entire time without tasting any of the berries as he has in years past. So overall we had a pretty successful experience. And apparently all the effort was worth it cause both boys inhaled 2 bowls of them at breakfast and lunch today. If only strawberry season wasn't so short...
