A weekend at Mimi and Papa's house

This past weekend we drove up for a visit with my parents in Fuquay. This is Rylan's second long distance trip in the car (the first being to their house as well). He did much better in the car this time since we were able to leave a lot earlier on Friday, so he was in the car when he would normally take his longest nap of the day. As always, Mimi and Papa never disappoint their grandsons while they are in town. They spent the weekend playing outside, eating popsicles, and going for walks (I am sure you can guess which boy enjoyed which of those activites)! Greyson slept in a big boy bed for the first time while we were there. Luckily it went over a lot better than I thought. He went right to sleep both nights and woke up his normal time the next morning (well normal for being at Mimi's house that is). He now has me contemplating the idea of morphing his crib into it's daybed form to see if he would do as well at home. I have to admit though, it was very weird tucking him into a real bed and not lifting him into his crib. It made him seem so much older...not always a good thing for an emotional mommy!
